Finances

Your contribution does far more than keeping our lights on and our rent paid; 
the direct result of your support is changing lives.  

Yes, the support you give allows Teens for Christ to keep a part-time director and an office manager on staff, and pay the office rent and utilities, among other things. But that is only the structure that allows to impact the lives of young people.  In the last year:
  • Attendance has almost doubled at Monday Night youth meetings, which focuses on service, biblical teaching, and authentic relationships with our Savior and each other.
  • Over 30 teens attended The Night of the Persecuted Church event, which was successfully coordinated with other local youth ministries.
  • 7,031 verses were memorized by our 64 Bible quizzers in the 09-10 season, which equals more than all of the New Testament combined.  Over half the students learned more than 100 verses, and several memorized over 400! 
  • TFC expanded the Fair fundraiser, adding the Cheesecake Booth to our regular Perfect Blend espresso stand, which increases financial support and public visibility for the ministry.
  • 8 students have joined the Servant Leadership teams, which focuses on discipleship, servant leadership studies, and practical application by giving the students real responsibilities.
We have all kinds of ideas for new projects that we would like to start, too; we are limited by the funding we depend on. 

The need

Regular giving has dropped dramatically in the last year -- in 2009, we received almost $10,000 less than normal in donations.

Though our expenses are essentially the same, the drop in giving has meant that Teens for Christ has been in almost constant loss since the beginning of 2009.  We currently  have less money in the bank than we owe in liabilities (as of 5/5/2010).
